At Mercedes-Benz Spring 2012 Fashion Week, this season marks the addition of Teen Vogue Haute Spot, an interactive fashion destination and lounge at Lincoln Center sponsored by Teen Vogue.
Entertaining and convivial events for teens and adults alike run from September 8th through September 15th and hours are 10:30 A.M. to 7:30 P.M.
The fun can be found at the New York Library for the Performing Arts (Donald and Mary Oenslager Gallery) directly around the corner from the Mercedes-Benz Spring 2012 Fashion Week Lincoln Center entrance.
Fashionistas will be able to get makeup advice from the masters at Maybelline as well as participate in daily makeovers. See what the editors at Teen Vogue are predicting as the hottest items for fall. Find out the meaning behind ‘Declare Your Denim’.
On Thursday, September 8th, American Idol sensation, Pia Toscano, performed “All By Myself” originally done by Celine Dion which won over her audience.
Fans of ABC Family’s ‘Pretty Little Liars’ were treated to an appearance by Shay Mitchell on Friday, September 9th.
Jill Stuart, favorite designer of celebrities such as Kristen Stewart, Megan Fox and Rachel Bilson, was on hand on Saturday, September 10th to give Haute Spot fans a preview of her Spring 2012 Collection with Teen Vogue Fashion Director, Gloria Baume.
Sunday, September 11th, brought a variety of happenings which included styling tips from American Idol stylist, Soyon An. Teen Vogue sponsored the Live ‘Declare Your Denim Fashion Show’ and those who visited the Haute Spot were given the beauty breakdown on all the runway trends from Teen Vogue Beauty and Health Director, Eva Chen, and blogger sensations Elle and Blair Fowler.
The rest of the week is filled with numerous surprises. Monday is Model Madness with a photo station, lessons on how to strut your stuff with industry expert, Mac Folkes and brought to you by Aldo and Modellounge. There will be model castings by IMG Worldwide and a guest appearance by star of Nickelodeon’s Victorious, Victoria Justice.
Tuesday, September 13th, is labeled Coty Fragrance Day. Delight with designer, Erin Fetherston and join Teen Vogue Fashion Market Editor, Mary Kate Steinmiller, to peek at Erin’s Spring 2012 Collection. Listen to Teen Vogue’s online editor, Naomi Nevitt, moderate the best fashion looks straight off the runway.
Closing day, September 15th, will finish with a bang as you get to meet marvelous designer, Phillip Lim, and look into his Spring 2012 Collection. Hear the blogger panel sound off about beauty, fashion and accessory looks at the Runway Roundtable and moderated by Teen Vogue’s Senior Fashion News Director, Jane Keltner de Valle.
