TIME TO TALK WITH ‘THE MOMS’

The charismatic duo of Denise and Melissa, also affectionately known as ‘The Moms’, have been the talk of New York City for some time now. They even rule the airwaves of Sirius XM these days.

From their fabulous and fun fashion show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week to their versatile and very chic new handbag line to their helpful advice for moms, the pouring of positive enthusiasm will have you hooked in no time.

This coming Tuesday morning, February 4, 2014, ‘The Moms’ will be hosting a Talk-A-Thon of crucial importance to the parents of our nation.  Join them in Times Square for a free breakfast to kick off National Teen Dating Violence Awareness & Prevention Month.  There will be great giveaways, celebrity meet-and-greets and most importantly, the resources necessary to get parents and their children talking about healthy relationships.  It is all part of the ‘Love Is Not Abuse’ Campaign.  Tuesday, February 4th is ‘No More Silence, It’s Time To Talk’ Day, a national day to promote healthy relationships and prevention of teen dating abuse.

Celebrity guests will include Mary Kay cause champion and Olympic Gold Medalist, Jordyn Wieber along with her mom, Rita Wieber.  Register to win tickets to Broadway shows, ski lift passes and much more.  RSVP at http://timetotalk.splashthat.com/ and bring your no-longer used wireless phones to HopeLine from Verizon, a program which supports survivors of domestic violence nationwide.  A stimulating panel discussion will take place with Jordyn along with teen dating abuse survivors, parents and experts at 10:00 a.m. at Planet Hollywood in Times Square located at 1540 Broadway, New York, New York 10036.

The weather forecast calls for a beautiful morning with plenty of sunshine.  The gravity of this campaign is made even more evident based on the statistics that one in three teens will experience dating abuse from a partner.  Recognizing it and talking about it is the first step to turning a teen’s life around.  If you are a parent, this will be an unforgettable morning that you will not want to miss.
