A TRIBUTE TO SUPERMODELS

This evening, July 29,2012, the Film Society of Lincoln Center will be presenting a film paying tribute to the best in the modeling industry, ‘About Face: Supermodels Then and Now.‘ It will take place at the Lincoln Center Film Center Amphitheater at 8:00 p.m. this evening in New York City.
This cultural film is a 75 minute intriguing exploration into the lives of the fashion industry’s most legendary models, highlighting the complex relationship between physical appearance and the business of beauty. Conversations take place in the film with some of the most famous supermodels of our era including Carol Alt, Marisa Berenson, Karen Bjornson, Christie Brinkley, Pat Cleveland, Carmen Dell’Orefice, Jerry Hall, Bethann Hardison, Beverly Johnson, China Machado, Paulina Porizkova, Isabella Rossellini, Lisa Taylor and Cheryl Tiegs. We get their take on how beauty has been redefined over time.
The Director is Timothy Greenfield-Sanders (HBO’s The Black List and The Latino List) who is a famous portrait photographer and filmmaker with superb credits to his name. He will be present at the screening in person along with supermodels Carol Alt and Pat Cleveland.
The screening is complimentary through Newfest Sponsor, HBO. The RSVP list is full at this time. There will be a standby line that will form 30 minutes prior to showtime.
The Film Society of Lincoln Center was founded in 1969 for the purpose of celebrating American and International Cinema, to recognize and support new filmmakers and enhance awareness, accessibility and understanding of the art among a broad and diverse film-going audience.
