Last week, Miami Beach International Fashion Week brought us such remarkable design talent from a variety of culturally captivating countries.

One of the most feminine and magical collections of the week was shown by Marina Banovic of Montenegro.  Marina has traveled the world to showcase her collections from Greece to ALTA ROMA Alta Moda Italy.

This latest collection shown at Miami Beach International Fashion Week seems to have had a bit of the Grecian influence coupled with profound attention to detail and intricate embellishment.

For the woman looking to impress as she walks into the party and turn heads in the room, these gowns hold the key.  The colors of white, ivory and beige brought a sense of innocence to the looks while some of the strapless flowing gowns were sophisticated and luxurious made of rich fabrics of silk, satin and tulle.

We were drawn to the bodices adorned with ruffles and full of lace.  One particularly beautiful gown tied around the neck with a low cut, heart-shaped top in a sparkling, textured design leading into a full tulle bottom.  Feathers and diamonds accessorized some of the gowns for a touch of class.  Cinching at the waistline accentuated the figures of the models.

For the fashion forward woman who prefers the knee-length dress to shine like a star in the night sky, there were plenty of choices for her taste.  From strapless to barely there, they were all gorgeous.  Shear fabrics with embroidery gave each dress a more formal appeal in a very effective way.  Your eyes were drawn to the hemlines and each dress was created in a different and unique fashion.

One of the gowns combined fabrics and colors in a half and half effect in a most sensuous way.

As the show came to a close, the pieces became even more over the top with graduated layered ruffles, dramatic silver sequined tops and the final gown was a very low cut V-top covering all the right spots with an open back and long simple satin skirt.  It was the perfect fairytale ending.

Some would tend to agree that Marina’s designs could have doubled as a bridal collection and would have been absolutely lovely worn in that manner.

It is very evident that Marina Banovic puts much dedication, hard work and pride into all of her designs and she certainly won the hearts of her fans in South Florida on that very special evening.  As she walked the runway to take her bow, you could see the humbling and grateful smile that has made her the successful designer that she is.
