The elegant team of Badgley Mischka have been hard at work since the New Year began only a couple of weeks ago.

Just after Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week winds down in New York City on February 14, 2013, Badgley Mischka will be opening their first store in Manhattan on the Upper East side.  Fashion fanatics will love the gentility of the fashions and this is the perfect city to make the dream come alive.

This has been a strategic decision that has been in the planning stages for many years now and it is finally becoming a reality.

The flagship location is at 24 East 64th Street and the store will be unveiled this coming April.  It will house the finest fashions created by the duo in a very large 3-floor 3,000 square foot townhouse which formerly belonged to a Pucci store.   This becomes the 3rd store in the United States while international business is booming.  The design team has plans to expand their China stores from nine to thirty by year-end.

Mark Badgley and James Mischka will combine the bridal salon which will be located in the back near the garden with ready-to-wear nearby.  The more affordable Mark & James Collection will be easily accessible on the main floor with jewelry, handbags, watches, sunglasses and many of their other stylish accessories.  VIP Guests will be able to visit the top floor of the flagship location for extra privacy.  Shoppers and admirers alike will be eager to learn that this retail hideaway will be more like entering a private residence for a more intimate appeal.

The creativity never ends as Badgley Mischka are now developing a daywear collection that will be sold exclusively at this new location and in the Beverly Hills and Palm Beach locations as well.  Welcoming the design duo to the neighborhood are Chanel, Valentino, Jimmy Choo, Fred Leighton and Leighton & Graff.

The designers were well-represented at the latest Golden Globes Award ceremonies as some of the most admired celebrities and stars were seen wearing their designs.  Emily Deschanel chose a black simple yet elegant gown with accentuated shoulders covered in diamonds.

One of The Today Show hosts, Savannah Guthrie, wore another one of their creations, a long-sleeved purplish-blue gown mixing glamour with a hint of sexy.
