In the tropical setting of palm trees and paradise at The Raleigh Hotel in South Beach on Friday, July 15th, brilliant swimwear designer Poko Pano presented a chic Amazonian inspired swimwear show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim 2012.

Tall and graceful beauties glided down the runway in sophisticated suits of macrame texture, crochet and lacework. There were amazing floral and fauna prints in bright pastel colors.

The exotic palm print pattern was shown in a variety of ways from the bikini to the pantaloon pant worn as an after-sun coverup. This proves that the attire can be worn effortlessly at the beach, the pool or for an afternoon in the sun.

Geometric modern patterns gave off an abstract fascination in a v-cut strapless one-piece swimsuit.

Something as simple as mixing grey, white, blue and black was minimal classic and very appealing.

One of the head turning looks of the season is the one-piece snakeskin suit that spells sexy in every sense of the word. It can also be worn in its bikini mate.

You would never imagine florals and stripes together but it certainly worked well on the runway.

Eco Fashion was evident in the short straw coverup skirt which was slit at the side to be somewhat revealing.

The corset was brought to life as a means of putting some of the one-piece suits together. You could imagine dressing centuries in the past and then step light years ahead to swimsuits of the future with the same concept.

A long flowing skirt hailing the pineapple print design was matched with a bikini top of the same print. The pineapple is one of the most highly appreciated tropical delicacies in the world.

Sheer and light fabric coverups work for all occasions.

Most of the models had tousled side braids tied with feathers. Metal and bright-colored bead necklaces and bracelets gave the perfect finishing touch.

The designer herself came out to take a bow to end the show and give the audience the opportunity to celebrate her success with this beautiful collection.
