Another Year Of Rocking The Runway

Fashion Rocks The Runway! Coinciding with the presentation of New York Fashion Week, this past week gave us yet another exciting event pairing fashion and music for one of the biggest nights of the year. It all took place on Tuesday, September 9, 2014, live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York at 9:00 p.m. EST. The event was telecast on CBS as it unfolded.
The host for the entertaining evening was a celebrity that knows both fashion and music very well and rarely needs any introduction, Ryan Seacrest.
Never before has such a profound impact been set forth revealing that these two cultural influences have such a diverse effect on the world; fashion and music. One is just as great as the other.
Clothing makes the artist and it is not unusual to see ‘Fashion Rocks’ traveling across the world to not only entertain audiences, but to also support some of the most worthy causes that need the generosity of those willing to give.
The star-studded lineup included musical trendsetters such as Afrojack, Duran Duran, Jennifer Lopez, KISS, Miranda Lambert, Nico & Vinz, Pitbull, Rita Ora, The Band Perry and Usher.
One of the largest fashion supporters for the evening was the beauty brand, Maybelline, the leading makeup sponsor of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Rock one of the five flattering looks that have been created as a symbol of music and fashion. Do you want to try Sultry Siren, Urban Attitude, Indie Princess, Glamour Reigns or Rock Goddess? Any of the looks can be easy to achieve depending on your taste.

The fashion world unfolded on the Red Carpet with a very slim and trim, Karolina Kurkova, beaming from ear to ear in innocent white. She was followed by many trend-setting stars who dominate the fashion and music world. Presenters of the evening included a supermodel that is still going strong, Naomi Campbell and the very stylish and unpredictable Paris Hilton.
The runway literally rocked as models walked onstage as performers sang. As much as the fashion world had the best representation, so did the music world with a wide genre of sounds from classic rock to country to hip-hop and pop.
One company that easily deserves a good portion of the credit is Macy’s, making wishes come true and much of this entertaining evening entirely possible. Some of the fashions seen on stage could be bought at Macy’s, online or in store.
Music is an integral part of our lives, soothing and relaxing or getting us up and moving to the beat. Fashion shapes all of our tomorrows with its beauty and gives us the ability to be whoever we want to be.
