Fashions are heating up this summer. Sizzling hot days lead into warm steamy nights. It seems only fitting that the Brazilian beachwear brand, Cia.Maritima, founded in 1990, is at the top of their game in designing and producing trusted top quality beachwear for a global clientele.

Cia.Maritima has been part of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim with striking collections of unique prints and exclusive fabrics displayed on gorgeous models.

The company exports to South, Central and North America as well as Asia and Europe and their merchandise is found in over 500 points of sale. They are the largest exporter of bikinis in the country.

The Summer 2010/2011 Collection was inspired by the cultural mecca of Morocco filled with magical history. Fabrics of ‘liganeti’ mesh, viscose voile and cotton crepe delight us. The collection has an almost vintage yet exotic mystery to it.

Most of the swimsuits are of a specific pattern in chocolate brown and cotton candy pink hues. Particularly pretty is the palm frond pattern of green against the white background. A long-haired beauty struts down the runway in a tiny bikini of fabulously colored peacock print accessorized with a heavy wooden bead necklace. An interesting type of wraparound bikini in ivory is surely a show-stopper.

For every bathing suit, there is a cover-up that is equally as enhancing. Colorful batik maxis fill the runway. Solid black cover-ups with a side leg suggestive slit are complimented with turquoise jewelry. A sarong is filled with vivid colors of the rainbow and looks great matched with golden metal jewelry. The short tunics are paired with woven belts for a bit of island pleasure. Harem pants take front and center stage.

A long-sleeved purple form-fitting gown is commanding with a low cut rounded neckline finished in sparkled beading. Tie-dye tunics make a bright appearance as well.

Cia.Maritima further enhances the beauty of every woman with their unique merchandise. It is easy to see why they grace the front page of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim website.
