South Beach is definitely going to be the ‘hot spot’ as Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim 2012 descends upon South Florida on July 14th running through July 18th. This is the seventh year in a row for one of the largest fashion events in the swimwear industry.
Over 20 top international designers from across the globe are eager to take the stage to show their 2012 Collections to a host of over 12,000 journalists, photographers, buyers, models, celebrities and VIPs. The shows are “invitation-only” and take place on two scene-capturing runway venues, Cabana Grande and the Oasis. In addition to these tropical settings for the show events, there will also be a comfortable lounge area to sneak away in order to relax and mix and mingle.
Mercedes-Benz is the title sponsor of the 5 day extravaganza and they will be joined by American Express, DHL, MAKE UP FOR EVER, TreSemme, SKYY Vodka, The Raleigh, AriZona Beverages, Ocean Drive Magazine, California Apparel News Waterwear and Getty Images. This is an IMG Event.
The swimwear industry has experienced rapid global growth in the past few years and this is the perfect platform for the new collections. Designers hail from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Columbia, France, Peru and the United States.
The steamy festivities begin on the 14th of July with a runway show by DIESEL, a brand transformed by creativity and popularity and characterized by excitement and trendsetting style in the clothing that they present.
Some of the well-known names that will bring their collections to the glamorous venue are White Sands Australia, Poko Pano, Beach Bunny Swimwear, Luxe by Lisa Vogel, True Religion, Natori, Mara Hoffman and Cia.Maritima.
In addition to the excitement of fashion, Mercedes-Benz will introduce this season’s newest Mercedes-Benz luxurious vehicle-the all new 2012 sleek SLK, the ultimate car taking the roadster experience to a whole new level.
