FALGUNI & SHANE PEACOCK STEAL THE SHOW – SPRING 2014

The other day I just happened to be daydreaming about some of the most unique collections that Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2014 brought us this past September. My mind was immediately drawn to one particular fashion show that was impressive, fun and far from traditional.
One of my very favorite duo of designers has to be Falguni & Shane Peacock. They definitely topped the list for original and most memorable collection as they usually do because this team strays from the normal and heads towards the sublime. Their Spring 2014 collection was no exception. Punk seemed to be a theme that sparked looks of brilliant and vividly set colors on a backdrop of textured fabric while exaggerated makeup on the models such as dark navy lips and matching nail color as well as a distinct lined eye lent itself to making the whole effect seem even more realistic.
Striking platinum blonds glistened in sequined minis set for partying the night away. Metallic-sleeved crop tops fit right in tune to the trend that gives Spring 2014 its carefree air of intricacy.
We recognized the deep black chokers, colored feathers adorning skin-tight gowns, ‘sheer madness’ in every sense of the word from neckline to hem, custom prints and masterful florals as a style perspicuous to these designers that distinguish themselves from the rest of their design generation. Mesh and metallic made this Falguni & Shane Peacock collection shine brightly on the runway with class and courage. Femininity was not always in the cards as some of the accessories took on more of a brazen gladiator look with gold-plated metal leg harnesses grasped around the models’ legs.
Each piece makes a solid statement and many self-confident celebrities such as Fergie, Emily Blunt, Madonna and Demi Lovato prefer the clothing of Falguni & Shane Peacock to wear as they proudly attend a variety of different events and award ceremonies. Spotted on this particular evening front row and center were Alex McCord, Paris Hilton and Giuliana Rancic, all equally huge fans of the fashions of Falguni & Shane Peacock.
The ingenious creativity of Falguni & Shane Peacock was absolutely amazing which is probably one of the main reasons that I so look forward to the unveiling of each of their new collections season after season. They successfully combine fantasy with reality for results that coax and captivate their audience. There is always a specific theme that overtakes the clothing, the atmosphere, the music and even the models. These two designers know how to steal the show time and time again with their tempting and tantalizing futuristic fashions.
This lifestyle brand is on the way to international acclaim as Falguni & Shane Peacock establish themselves as a worldwide powerhouse of style, always bound to excel first and foremost at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York City.
