Grammy Night Fashions

Grammy Night Fashions By Hope Wilkos, Writer/Blogger
The Grammy’s are always a time for the best of the best to shine for the evening. Just as important as music are the exceptional fashions making their way down the red carpet.

This year the fashions were as exotic as ever. Lady Gaga opened the ceremonies in her theatrical and entertaining way. Her arrival was the talk of the evening as she was carried inside a translucent cocoon on a litter by a troupe of shirtless gogo dancers.

Katy Perry swept us away in her Armani white and silver sequined gown wearing silver platforms. She truly looked angelic and attached were feathered angel wings.

Grammy Nominee Michael Brant DeMaria was suave and debonair in a formal tuxedo with a grey vest to complement the entire look.

American Idol Judge, Jennifer Lopez, was decked out in jewels and looked fabulous standing close to her hubby. The sparkling silver short dress with a touch of fuchsia was a creation of Emilio Pucci, stunning shoes were Christian Louboutin, jewels were Cartier and the final touch was a Goa crystal clutch by Daniel Swarovski.

Selena Gomez is all grown up now and was a smashing hit in a slinky low cut white and ivory gown from J. Mendel.

Natasha Bedingfield was a picture of femininity in her blue floral embroidered gown with strapless bodice and sheer skirt. She was all smiles as she arrived from IMG/Mercedes-Benz New York Fall/Winter 2011 Fashion Week as one of the models participating in The Heart Truth’s Red Dress Show kicking off the week of fashion.

Diva Kim Kardashian took the spotlight in a risque Kaufman Franco gold gown revealing lots of leg and wearing Christian Louboutin pumps and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Rihanna captured us with her dreamy off-the-shoulder white Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture Mermaid gown with feather ruffles and sheer panels trailing a bit of a small train.

Nicole Kidman moved away from the simple norm to surprise us with a very lovely Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture petal-print gown in rusts and greens. She was a true vision of beauty.

The transformed Jennifer Hudson is looking so fine these days. Her asymmetrical Versace gown in blue and silver with sparkling bodice showed off her curves in all the right places.

Heidi Klum was sporting a new short bob in a gold sequined low-cut Julien MacDonald gown with drape sleeves. She customized the outfit with Christian Louboutin platform pumps and a gold pedicure to top it off.

As many of the celebrities chose white, silver and gold, Julianne Hough decided to go with more color for the evening. Her ruffled pink, purple and blue Malandrino gown was a stunning match for her blond locks.

Miranda Lambert chose a one-shouldered curve-hugging gunmetal gown by Ceorges Chakra.

Wild-spirited Kelly Osbourne walked the carpet in a Tadashi Shoji frilly lavender one-shouldered dress with an eggplant bow belt. Kelly is looking great these days!

Ciara was daring and seductive in a flowing Emilio Pucci Grecian number in blue and white accompanied with bold sandals and flashy jewelry.

The sparkle and dazzle of the evening came to a close marking another great year of music and fashion.
