‘Fashion’s Night Out’ is arriving on Thursday, September 6, 2012. This is a global initiative sponsored by Vogue and CFDA. It originated in 2009 in New York City and overtook the fashion world by storm. This is an innovative way to promote local retailers while celebrating the fashion industry as a whole. Countries such as Brazil, China, Italy, Portugal, Russia, Greece, Australia, England, France, Germany, India, Spain, South Korea and Turkey have all gotten in on the action. The list of countries and events continues to grow every year.
The commemorative t-shirt is available online at ‘Fashion’s Night Out’ with the proceeds going to support a very worthy cause, the New York City AIDS FUND. QVC will give you a special preview of the sassy Vogue-designed tote bag. Net proceeds will benefit FASHION TARGETS BREAST CANCER, the charitable initiative of the CFDA Foundation, Inc.
The Empire State Building will be in an ‘FNO State of Mind’ as it glows all decked out in red to celebrate this special 4th anniversary of the event.
Maybelline New York is the official makeup sponsor and their Mobile Color Studio Makeover Truck will be making stops throughout New York City neighborhoods so get ready to look marvelous and get all your beauty questions answered.
