Life Under The Printed Palms With Lilly Pulitzer

Bright tropical prints and gorgeous tanned models made for a spectacular day in New York City on Tuesday, June 7, 2016. This is what summer is all about as the Lilly Pulitzer brand unveiled the latest 2017 Resort 365 Collection on the rooftop of Mr. Purple. New York City was transformed into a tropical paradise. As the brand has gone through a tantalizing transformation over the last year, it is capturing the attention of a younger and vivacious clientele, wearing the pleasing prints and going wild for all the associated accessories. Those who wear Lilly Pulitzer are easily recognized.

“Life Under The Printed Palms” was all about brilliantly colored patterns, beach-inspired looks, flowing coverups, adorable matching crop tops and skirts, pants and shorts, and an all-around beautiful collection to spend your summer in. Seen having some fun modeling pieces from the collection were Bridget Malcolm and Vita Sidorkina of Victoria’s Secret fame. Other models with that Pulitzer pizzazz included Madison Headrick and Nikayla Novak while Harley Viera-Newton kept the viewing going strong as she played DJ for the afternoon. Wide-brimmed hats and large colorful headbands were paired with outfits, meant to combat the sun’s strong rays. Halter-top jumpsuits and leisurely gowns with plunging necklines were reminders of that Florida lifestyle that Lilly Pulitzer is so well-known for.

Also setting Lilly Pulitzer apart from the rest of the brands is the manner in which Lilly herself has instilled love and caring into those that work for the company. At the Lilly Pulitzer store in The Gardens Mall in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, at least once a month there is a shopping day where a portion of the proceeds from the sales goes to support local agencies such as Special Spaces Palm Beach County, an organization run by volunteers that give children with life-threatening illnesses a special space of their own.

When the preview presentation came to a close on June 7th, some of the guests which included, photographer Ben Watts, blogger Blair Eadie, and fashion stylist Gabriela Langone, were personally invited by Lilly Pulitzer CEO and Executive Vice President of Product Design and Development to share in a lavish spread of delicacies at an intimate outdoor dinner. Guests feasted on shaved zucchini and avocado as an appetizer, roasted snapper, chicken with marble potatoes and grilled leeks or chef’s choice vegetable option for dinner. Dessert was the highlight of the meal as a citrus olive oil caked with coconut curd and blood orange sorbet was served.
