The manner in which fashion is presented is continuing to transition to meet the demands of the industry. Jumpstarting fashion and creating somewhat of a mystery for what the next season holds in the way of trends is what this may be all about. It is a solution to help to keep an element of surprise so that when the season actually arrives, the designs are appreciated that much more. One designer who has decided its time for this change and is ready to try it out is Michael Kors.
It was recently announced that Kors will be introducing his RESORT 2017 Collection in a totally new and fresh format. On June 7, 2016, Michael Kors will present five images of his RESORT 2017 Collection for publication and print with no social media permitted. Come October, the public can look forward to viewing all the other exceptional pieces in the collection. Then, a complete lookbook (for editorial requests only) will be circulated to editors the day after the presentation.
“We feel our clients and fans will love getting a sneak peek of the collection as opposed to inundating them with too much imagery too soon,†Kors explained. “Ultimately, this is all about creating more excitement when the product is available.â€
So the even bigger question is this. “Will the collection be more successful presented this way?†Let’s sit back and see if it creates a wave of followers on the heels of this popular designer who is ready to roll it out and experiment with change.
