This expanded fashion event made its debut at Lincoln Center after many years at Bryant Park. This new venue has even more areas for presentations including its beautiful courtyard area.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Council of Fashion Designers of America President Diane von Furstenberg, IMG Chairman and CEO Ted Forstmann, Lincoln Center Chair Katherine Farley all kicked off the first Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center on September 8th. The shows and events held at Lincoln Center’s Damrosch Park will be held from September 9th through September 16th. The monumental ‘Fashion’s Night Out‘ will kick off the festivities. The semi-annual fashion events, previously held at Bryant Park, draw more than 230,000 attendees every year and generate more than $770 million in economic activity in New York City and bringing journalists, editors, writers, celebrities, models and buyers to the city for an action-packed week.
We anxiously await what is in store for us this season.
