As 2011 comes to a close, there are those individuals that we have lost this year that impacted our lives in so many ways.
With the 54th Annual GRAMMY AWARDS coming up on February 12, 2012, one such person will be honored with the Trustee Award. Steve Jobs, former CEO and co-founder of APPLE, is being remembered with this distinguished award. Jobs was not only the innovative leader in technology paving the way for others in the industry, but he transformed how we consume music, television, movies and books. He envisioned what our needs would become before we even knew ourselves and created the iPod, iPad and iPhone. The online iTunes store revolutionized the industry and how music was distributed and purchased. We continue to be eager and excited to see what new metamorphosis that Jobs’ team have in store for us.

The world of APPLE is very familiar with The GRAMMY Awards. In 2002, APPLE Computer Inc. was a recipient of a Technical GRAMMY Award for contributions of outstanding technical significance to the recording field. They continue to lead in leaps and bounds with improving technology and in-demand products.
The Trustees Award is a special merit award presented by vote of The Recording Academy’s National Trustees to individuals who have made significant contributions to their field. Past recipients include The Beatles, Clive Davis, Walt Disney and Thomas A. Edison.
Two of the recipients of The Lifetime Achievement Award will be Diana Ross and The Allman Brothers Band. They have continued to entertain and amaze throughout the years and they will be proudly recognized on this special evening.

Be sure to watch THE GRAMMY AWARDS on February 12, 2012 at 8/7c on CBS televised live at The Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
