Heart Truth Red Dress Collection 2011 By Hope Wilkos, Blogger Bright red is synonymous with the powerful Heart Truth Fashion Show opening IMG/Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Popular celebrities came out in style to model and make a strong statement on Wednesday evening. Raising awareness for heart disease means jumping, smiling, exercising and eating healthy in the words of many of the stars.
The parade of looks included a lovely array of fashionable evening attire designed perfectly for each model. Here are some of the highlights.
Garcelle Beauvais looked stunning in a strapless Monique Lhuillier form-fitting gown jutting out in a formation of flowering ruffles as it hit the ground.

Lovely Camila Alves, tight squeeze of heart throb Matthew Mcconoughey who was seated in the front row, wore a simple and divine one-shouldered Franco Kaufman gown with a small train.

Too familiar with heart disease and a huge advocate of the cause, Suzanne Somers enjoyed the moment in an off-the-shoulder red satin Soltani dress with a tulle petticoat peeking through and a dressy silver belt.

For the expectant mom, Laila Ali played the role in a ruched dark red ‘A Pea in the Pod’ dress. A large smile graced her face as she marched down the runway.
Vibrant Alison Sweeney hugged the runway in a low rounded neckline Tadashi Shoji dress accentuating all her curves.

The versatile singer and model, Patti LaBelle, worked the runway in a short Zang Toi satin dress with kimono like sleeves. One of her songs was playing in the background.
Down to earth Ann Curry felt the emotion of the evening in a graceful one-shouldered Carmen Marc Valvo gown.
Natasha Bedingfield suprised the audience singing her hit song, “Strip Me” as she modeled a simple yet seductive Nicole Miller gown.
Full of energy and pizazz was Giuliana Rancic dancing down the catwalk in a tightly gathered Notte by Marchesa which was short and sweet with a large bow at the waist.
In a mix of fabrics, blond bombshell Cat Deeley wore Alberta Ferreti and looked smashing.
What could be more dazzling and daring than the hot number worn by Julianne Hough? Decked out in a top of Swarovski crystals, the dress flowed to the ground with the grace and fortitude of a princess.
The show wouldn’t be complete without the ever so popular sparkling Badgley Mischka one-shouldered gown worn on reality star, Audrina Partridge with a graduation of the color red. The sexy slit up the side of the leg gave it an extra added appeal.
The stars kept coming and each one was even more beautiful than the previous for a total of 22 super exciting models.
Contributing to the good time was Kim Crawford Wines with some of their best wines and who happen to be one of the sponsors of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
Some of the dresses worn in the show will be auctioned online to benefit the Foundation For the National Institutes of Health. Bidding ends March 4th at www.clothesoffourbacks.org.
Even though it was an evening with serious undertones, fashion enthusiasts and models seemed to enjoy themselves tremendously.
